A wedding dress is bought to a size chart and worn by a person. Closing that gap is the whole job — levelling a hem to the shoes you chose, bringing a bodice in so it holds without pulling, building a bustle that lifts the train cleanly, and adding the structure a gown needs to sit properly through a long day.

Every gown is handled by Ronaki personally, from the first pinning to the last stitch. No hand-offs, no production line, and an honest answer about what a dress can be taken to before any work begins.

— How it goes

Two fittings, usually. Three if the gown asks for it.

01 — First fitting

Bring the gown, the shoes and the underwear you will actually wear. Everything is pinned on you, and you get a firm quote before anything is cut.

02 — The work

Hems levelled and re-edged, bodices taken in, bustles built, straps reshaped. Beading and lace are lifted and re-laid by hand rather than sewn through.

03 — Second fitting

The gown goes back on and the result is checked properly. Anything not sitting right is adjusted then, not left for you to notice later.

Six to eight weeks before the date is the comfortable window. Later than that is often still workable — a simple hem takes days — but re-cutting a beaded bodice cannot be rushed safely. Call with your date and you will get a straight yes or no.

Had an amazing experience at Ronaki Boutique & Alterations. I brought in a couple of t-shirts and a shirt, and the fit came out exactly how I wanted — clean, sharp, and really well done. You can tell there's real skill and attention to detail in the work. What impressed me even more was how quickly everything was finished.
